We will be hosting a Red Dawn game in March or April. We are currently looking at March 20th, or April 10th. This game WILL cost money. We are looking at a $15 pre-registration fee or $20 at the gate. We will plan on March 20th for first option and with a backup (for weather) on April 10th. More information will be released soon, the registration will begin at 0830 with game commencing no later than 0930. The game will end at 1700. Keep close eye out for pre-registration information and a flyer (most likely to be released this week).

When will FPS limits, engagment distances etc. be decided? Or will that be decided after we get some land?

Land doesn't determine how much a 400fps bb hurts, and there's no way to have a good Red Dawn game in CQB.
We'll probably use similar guidlines to the ones form OP Foreshadows. However, we will not restrict you on what position you can play. Even if you're a terrible shot and want to be a sniper. It's all about having fun, being safe, and being honest when you play airsoft. On the other hand, if you do have an AEG or sniper that is 400fps+ we strongly recommend you use discretion with close quarters situations. That is a lot of the reason I carry a pistol all the time at games and practice. I don't think we will make anyone chrono their guns, but if you can, already have, or would like to, that would help out a lot.
Sarge, Avi, Ludy, and myself discussed and set up 5 major missions last night. Most, if not all, have multiple objectives and/or a bonus for one or both teams in some missions. This game is set up to be as close to the film as possible. I can already tell this is going to be one of the best airsoft games I've ever been a part of.
FYI: Ludy and Avi will most likely be the main commanders for the Communist forces. Unless Avi steps down as CO. That being said, we now need another team member for the basic core Wolverine squad.
PS: I know that it seems odd that we are charging to play this game, but all your ammo will be provided, and we can promise you that the bb's will be very high quality and also .25g's. If you're gun isn't powerful enough for that heavy of bb's, consult me or Sarge, and we'll come up with something for you. Also there is a plan to have actual vehicles in this OP, and the fee will help pay for fuel.

We are still searching for some land. Anyone with information about some land that might be suitable please let us know.
I think there is also a misunderstanding about the Welbourne's land. I think its great land for small ops and practices, I just don't think it could handle an all day game of 30+ people (which is the # we are shooting for) effectively. I think its just a bit small for that. We could make it work, and if we have to, we will. I would just prefer some land a bit larger if possible.
I would prefer the land be large, wooded (but not overgrown), with at least one road cut through it that a vehicle could drive down, and a main area for setting up a base/staging area. I know its a lot to ask for, but this is just optimal, we will take whatever we can get.

You could possibly use Kashilands place down in Tulsa, seems like a awfully long ride from Joplin To Tulsa, but it's just a suggestion.

Yeah, I don't think thats very feasible, and considering its not your land to offer I can't take you up on that anyway. Don't worry we have a few "irons in the fire" right now. Plus the reason we are planning so far ahead is so we get plenty of time to get the land situated and developed.

Yea no I got nothing; that land is not an option yet... but we're working on it, sometime in the future i hope to be crawling around and shooting people out there. But that's probably not going to happen before March.
I'm going to SEE Mal tomorrow night and I decided to wait till then since I can also go grab some other contacts and check with them too.
